- About me
Started climbing in late 70’s and followed the evolution of indoor climbing walls and the development of bolt on holds with great interest. My commitment to sport climbing developed alongside this and led me to bolt and climb hundreds of new routes across Scotland, opening up some major new crags in the process.
I am pleased to have introduced the first local and national bouldering competitions to Scotland in the early years of the 1990’s and travelled extensively across the UK to compete in other bouldering competitions.
Been climbing at or above 7b for past 27 years and was pleased to get back to 8a three years ago at the age of 50.
- Your Setting Experience

Local lead competitions.
Gained considerable experience at senior route setter level at Avertical World in Dundee over a period of 15 years, setting more than 1500 lead routes and many hundreds of boulder problems mostly with excellent feedback.
Also set at Alien Rock in Edinburgh prior to this and in the last few years have set sporadically at Transition Extreme in Aberdeen.
