- About me
Work predominantly in the disability sector as a trainer delivering the climbing for all course and also managed the GB paraclimbing team for 5 years. I worked with Ian Dunn the main route setter and the squad on developing routes and competition environments so am keen to learn more about how route setting developments can contribute to developing access. Developments of the routes will improve experiences and also getting the national team ready for competing on the world circuit!
- Your Setting Experience
Very little setting experience but have a lot of experience around watching disabled athletes climb on different styles of routes. I can collaborate with route setters in developing routes for disabled climbers. Also climbing environments vary such as the need for tailing ropes, top roping boulder problems, lighting systems, noise levels etc. I’m also interested in the construction side of things for example ground anchors, top roping boulders because they all contribute to access. I think more knowledge for me will also assist in training that I provide on promoting access
